Here’s What to Do Next and How to Book Your Wedding Vendors!
Celebrate and Share the News
Take some time to celebrate this special moment with your partner, family and friends. Whether it’s an intimate dinner or a big party, sharing the news with your loved ones is a wonderful way to kick off your engagement.
Set a Budget
Sit down with your partner and have an open and honest conversation about your budget. Determining how much you can afford to spend on your wedding will help you make informed decisions as you start planning.
Create a Vision Board
Start gathering inspiration for your big day. Create a vision board or Pinterest Board to collect ideas for the style, color scheme, and overall vibe you want for your wedding.
Choose a Date and Venue
The ability of your dream venue may influence your wedding date, so it’s a good idea to start looking into this early on. Once you have a date and venue secured, everything else will start to fall into place. Check our availability here!
Book Your Vendors in the Following Order:
Wedding Planner: If you’re hiring a wedding planner, they should be the first vendor you book. They can help you with every aspect of the planning process and recommend other vendors.
Photographer/Videographer: These vendors tend to get booked up quickly, so it’s important to secure them early on to capture your special day.
Caterer: If your venue doesn’t provide catering, or if you’re having the reception at a separate location, book your caterer next.
Entertainment (Band/DJ): Good entertainment is key to a successful reception, so be sure to book your band or DJ well in advance.
Florist: Once you have an idea of your color scheme and overall vision, you can book your florist.
Officiant: You’ll need to find an officiant for your ceremony, if you don’t already know someone willing.
Hair and Makeup: These vendors often have multiple weddings on the same day, so it’s best to secure them early.
Transportation: If you need transportation for the wedding party or guests, book this next. (Or have them stay on property if that’s in your budget!) ;)
Cake Baker: Last but not least, book your cake baker or desired wedding desserts!
Start Your Guest List
Begin compiling a guest list so that you have an idea of the number of people you’ll be inviting. This will be helpful when setting a budget.
Stay Organized
Consider using a wedding planning app or binder to keep all of your ideas, contracts, and important dates in one place. Staying organized will help reduce stress as you plan your big day.
